And her undead heart can't resist a bad boy with identity issues... A vampire finds herself in a hair-raising situation in this Broken Hearts novel from New York Times bestselling author Michele Bardsley. Archaeologists like me, Moira Jameson, are ready for trouble. Okay, maybe not human-species-threatening trouble. Or the kind of trouble that arrives in the form of a sexy werewolf named Drake.
My only good thing to say about the woman is that she readily believed in her daughter. Unlike Twilight, there weren’t any sparkly vampires to deal with (thank god!), but it did still read like something an imaginative kid came up with . Nothing really bad ever happens to the good guys, there is no character development of any kind, and the wording was basic at best. And to top it all off, the story got the same Disney-esque happy ending where everyone got to live happily ever after. Wait Till Your Vampire Gets Home is the fourth book in the Broken Heart series.

At the cemetery she is watching single father and new vampire Ralph Genessa as he puts flowers on his wife’s grave. It was fun getting to know her and Ralph and meeting up with the other people who live in Broken Hill and are now members of The Consortium. I don't typically dig on paranormal romance, but I do love this series.

While entertaining at first, the constant cliff hangers off every chapter made it hard for me to take seriously.

Even though moments earlier I'd thought of him as my safety net, I knew better than to just stroll out and introduce myself. I'd learned over the years that not everything was as it seemed. He looked nice and sounded nice, but hey, so did serial killersright until they put a knife to your throat. My dad's single dietary weakness was a frothy, sugary, colorful ICEE, which my mother equated to the devil's brew. Dad told me once that everyone needed to indulge in one bad-for-you thing. My biggest complaint about these is they read like romance novels.

And you know what they say, home is where the heart is. Only this town is being torn in two by a war between the undead—and I may be the only thing that can hold Broken Heart together... A single mom finds a man who's hot enough to wake the undead in this Broken Heart novel from New York Times bestselling author Michele Bardsley. With my ex-husband out of my life after attempting murder (on me!) and my little Glory not uttering a word since that awful night, Broken Heart, Oklahoma seemed like the perfect sanctuary for us. And I, Simone Sweet, was ready to start a new life.

When she finds out that the person had been someone they had loved and trusted, she says that they should have tried to be closer to them. No good mother would EVER let that slide no matter who it was. If I ever have kids and someone tried to hurt them like that, I’d hunt them down or at the very least be pissed off.
After I finished the twelve-month program, I went to California and enrolled in the HCH Institute. Another year, another certificatethis one in Parapsychological Studies. Getting those certificates wasn't nearly as much fun as slogging through the Louisiana swamps looking for Bayou Boo, half man and half alligator. So far, each of the books has been about one of the newly turned single-parent vampires.
Have you heard of things which are so bad that they are good? Our paranormal investigator Libby finds herself in the midst of Broken Heart an equivalent of ‘Forks’ which is the hub of all things paranormal. Sadly, this book isn't worth your time. No character development; too much stress ; predictable plot. Fun light read but the writing got me a little.

I normally find the "paranormal investigator" thing and annoyance in books at times. But I think she did a good job with it in this one. It was a bit worrisome at first to say the least for me.
Libby Monroe comes from a family of paranormal investigators, running PRIS, better aka Paranormal Research and Investigation Services. This kind of proof is exactly the sort of thing she needs for PRIS to get some respect. She's hopelessly attracted to the handsome vampire widower, Ralph Genessa, who helped her escape the monsters. As if that wasn't enough she's also developed strange new gifts after her contact with the dragons. Michele Bardsley is a national bestselling author of paranormal, romance, and mystery fiction.

This concern was exacerbated by the fact that this lead characters quirk was the use of the phrase "ack!". The book can be read as a stand alone, but is certainly much better if read in series order. When I initially finished this book last night, I had thought it wasn’t all that bad. Of course, there were a few things that had gotten annoying, but the humor and the book’s concept kind of made up for it. However, as the hours went by, I liked it less and less.

The action was a little choppy and jarring in a few places, had trouble keeping track of who was doing what, but a great book. Single mom and hair salon owner Patsy Donahue, still getting acclimated to her new vampire lifestyle, tries to rein in her wild teenage son while trying to deny her attraction to a rogue shape-shifter. I hugged the large oak tree as I tried to catch my breath.
I thought our night together was the beautiful beginning to a love story, which turned out to be my second mistake. I, Phoebe Allen, lifelong Broken Heart resident and vampire, am now mated to a half-demon. Thankfully Phoebe's four-year-old son Danny is safely away at Disneyworld with his human father. Phoebe swears she isn't falling for any of Connor's demon charm. But still, he's willing to do anything to protect her and prevent demons from storming into Broken Heart.
